The VS-EPU6006-N3 is an ultrafast soft recovery diode from Vishay, part of the FRED Pt® series. It features a planar structure and platinum-doped lifetime control technology, delivering optimized performance with ultrafast recovery time (110ns) and low forward voltage drop (1.5V @ 60A). The device offers a 600V voltage rating, 60A average rectified current, and a peak surge current of 600A, with an operating junction temperature range of -55°C to +175°C. Its extremely optimized stored charge and low recovery current minimize switching losses and reduce over-dissipation in the switching element and snubbers. It is ideally suited for output rectification in SMPS, welding, UPS, DC/DC converters, and freewheeling diodes in low-voltage inverters and chopper motor drives.
