The LAN8720AI-CP-TR is a high-performance, low-power, small-footprint 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX Ethernet physical layer transceiver (PHY) from Microchip. Compliant with IEEE 802.3/802.3u standards, it connects to the MAC layer via a standard RMII interface. It is one of the industry's smallest solutions, consuming up to 40% less power than existing Microchip transceivers. The device supports HP Auto-MDIX for automatic detection of straight-through or crossover cables, and features Microchip's proprietary flexPWR® technology for flexible power management. Housed in a 24-pin QFN package (4x4mm), it supports a wide 1.6V to 3.6V I/O voltage range and operates from -40°C to +85°C, making it ideal for set-top boxes, networked printers, industrial embedded systems, and other space-constrained, power-sensitive applications.
